Hearing the Father's Voice

As a child of God it is vital to be led by His Spirit, thus, it is essential to learn how to hear His voice. Our Father gave me a revelation about supernatural hearing. It was an illustrative vision.

Our heart is precious to God, that is why He says in Proverbs 4:23, "...Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." The illustration God gave was the use of the heart.

This is what our Father showed me illustratively, "Get your heart and place it in a pool of still water. In the water there will be no distractions and the heart will be able to hear from Me." This is how to hear spiritually because God is a Spirit. Take the heart out of the water and it is difficult to hear. Just like when we swim and enter water in a busy city there is quietness in the water, come out of the water and there is cacophony of sound from traffic, people etc

Guard your heart from the distractions and noise of life, place it in the still waters (the Holy Spirit) to hear from God. We hear very well from God when we are still and fully immersed in His Spirit, the key to be fully immersed in His Spirit is to build an intimate relationship with our Father so that we learn His voice and know it precisely. (read about the beginning of my journey to an intimate relationship)

God's instruction manual for life, the Bible, says, "He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

We should strive for deeper depths in God to discern His voice from the adversary's voice. A child knows his earthly father's voice because the child knows his earthly father intimately. As children of God we should commune with our Father intimately and know His precious voice. God is all knowing and we need to hear His instruction everyday to walk in destiny and purpose.

In the menu for intimacy with God, consumption is good, but hunger is vital.
